I may never make tofu any other way! I just love it like this. Prior to going plant based, I used to love crunchy popcorn chicken. If you wish, you could marinate the tofu prior to using it in a No Chicken Bullion to give it an even more chickeny flavor.
Ingredients:
1 Block of Tofu (15 oz.)
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp poultry seasoning
1 tsp Mrs. Dash Southwest Chipotle seasoning
S&P to taste
Wrap the tofu in paper towels for a few minutes to absorb excess liquid. No need to press it. Cut into 1 in squares or your desired shape. Put all spices in a ziplock bag. Shake bag to combine all spices, then add your tofu. Shake it up real good for a few minutes, you want to roughen up those edges a bit on the tofu as that it what makes for the crunchy edges when done. Empty entire bag into your air fryer, and cook on high 20-25 min. shaking once in the middle. I have enjoyed this with many different dipping sauces on it's own, put in a wrap or on top of a salad.
