
MUSHROOM STROGANOFF
Ingredients:
5-6 Large Whole Mushrooms sliced thin with stems on
1/2 Sweet Onion diced
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 cup veg broth as needed for simmering
2 T flour of your choice
2 cups non dairy unsweetened milk, (I used cashew milk) 1tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2T Soy Sauce
1/2 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet Browning and Seasoning sauce
1/2 tsp Better than Bullion Paste, or one Bullion Cube dissolved
Salt & Pepper to taste
In large deep skillet saute your mushrooms, diced onions and garlic until tender using water or veg broth, no oil is needed. While simmering, mix in small bowl the non dairy milk, soy sauce, browning sauce, flour, onion, garlic and bullion, whisk together until well combined. Salt and Pepper as desired, but keep in mind the bullion and soy sauce already add a lot of salt flavor.
When mushrooms are tender pour the liquid mixture into the pan and stir constantly while bringing to a boil, turn heat down low and simmer until gravy is desired thickness, add additional veg broth as needed to thin. Serve over rice, or no egg ribbon pasta as shown.
