Salmon is by far my favorite fish. I make it frequently as my husband and I both enjoy it so much. If you like it to be slightly crunchy on top, I would suggest baking it in an air fryer, but a standard oven will work fine too. It's always good. Just do not overcook it.
2 frozen Salmon filets, skinless
2 T of Maple Syrup
1 tsp of Liquid Smoke
A sprinkle of Old Bay Seasoning
S&P to taste
Thaw frozen filets before baking. Once thawed, rinse in cool water and pat dry. Place in air fryer or on baking sheet for oven baking. Use a slight spray of cooking oil to prevent sticking. Sprinkle with seasonings, then mix the Maple Syrup and Liquid Smoke together, then brush on tops and sides of filets. Bake for approx 15 min at 400 degrees. Serve immediately. My favorite way is to keep it simple over a fresh garden salad with a drizzle of reduced balsamic vinegar and tahini. Mashed potatoes also makes a great side dish. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. This is an easy to prep and fast to cook dinner for two that is ready in no time. We always feel like we are having a gourmet dinner when we have it. :) This makes 2 servings, approx 300* calories each, not counting the salad.
*To reduce calories even more simply use sugar free maple syrup.
